Week 13

Its a good job I’m not number phobic or I wouldn’t of written a blog this week! But I used to live at 13 and that house set us off for a good start start in life so maybe a great number for me!

Anyway off to the important stuff! Half term was always going to mess up my training week as with two children, one is now working, but one at school the routine goes to pot! In a good-way that is!

We have booked two lovely nights at The Quiet Site, in Pooley Bridge, in one of their pods, we stayed in July when we were taking part in the Day In The Lakes Half Ironman, as a relay, I did the run! really tuff, but very scenic and enjoyable, if you like fell or trail running, in July we camped, but I am a cold phobic if not a number phobic!

So training Monday a long steady swim, on my own, didn’t feel up to joining the group as I’m still struggling a bit with my neck! just short of 2 mile and out!

Tuesday the weather was just fab so I dropped the turbo and got out for a hilly 2 up route, thats over sheep-house lane and Angleswarke, its a tuff little route and with my foot down extra tuff, but boy did I enjoy it, felt great!

Wednesday we were off to the lakes so I’ve packed the trainers to try out the leg and plan on doing a fee walks but don’t tell Millie! (thats my daughter, if she thinks she’s walking she wont come).

We managed a two 3 mile walk on Wednesday, both very hilly and as Millie didn’t realise what was happening to her till it did, they both went down very well, with a great burger, chips and wine to finish!

Thursday we decided to do a 8 miler with Millie’s knowledge, I find a little time away from her phone and we get more response from her! What a great little day, very hilly walk to Aira Force falls and back, well considering my husband Shaun had a knee op in January and as really struggled to walk since, he was a trouper, might even get hime to do more of it, but again don’t tell him!

I decided to do a walk brick run, a tuff 3 miler to give the leg a good test, oh no leg ok to 2.5 miles then sore again, what am I going to do!

Osteopath is what I am going to do, I wonder if what Emma told me about it maybe not being my leg could be correct, so I booked an appointment with Alex!

Yep guys its the back, may need a couple of sessions, but its feeling much better already, booked in with Alex next week and apart from him advising me to have a couple of days off, I’m a happy bunny!

So thats Sunday ride 50 miles with Tri Rivington middle cycle group and another hill, Hunter’s this time, great weather, great company and a great way to end the week, who wouldn’t want to train for Ironman.
